Terminology analysis of suspended cranes

Axial load: The total vertical force acting on the supporting structure. Calculation formula: Axial load = (total weight of crane) + (design coefficient x lift load weight).

Main girder Length: The total length of the main girder. Note: The working length of the main girder or the coverage of the beam hook is smaller than the total length of the main girder.

Buffering device: The spacer arranged between two main girder (or) hoist trolley in a fixed type rail to prevent a concentrated overload between the suspension points. It limits the minimum distance between the main girder or the gourd.

Column: The column of the combined cranes is the "leg" of the combined Crane, which is made of a square tube. The cranes stand on these legs.

Deflection: The difference between a crane that is not mounted and a crane with a full load is usually measured in millimeters. In general, the Gaobo is designed to be a beam crane for l/450, where L = Support Center distance or span.

Crossbeam: This is a horizontal beam in the supporting structure of the modular self-supporting crane, consisting of two back-backed channel steel, fixed-type rails hanging here.

Total height (oahs): The distance from the ground to the highest point of the crane (including the metal member).

Span (main beam): The distance between fixed-track centerline. The span must be separated from the total length (OAL) area of the main girder, and the total length of the main girder is longer than the span. [2]

Calculation formula (using pre most cranes): span = {main beam length-(2 x main girder cantilever length)}

Support Center: This is the distance between the centerline of the two pillars or the hanger along the fixed rail. Note that the Support Center decides what type of rail to use.

Support structure: For a modular stand-alone crane, the support structure refers to the support component, also known as the "gate column" or "terminal Frame", composed of columns and beams. For a set of cranes, the support structure refers to the roof, including the truss frame, the longitudinal beam and the column, and the crane hangs there.

Hoist trolley Height (ts): On a stand-alone crane, this refers to the height from the top of the pin shaft of the gourd trolley (the hoist hangs under the pin) to the ground.
