Bridge crane machinery cable use and selection requirements

1. When the bridge crane adopts suspended cable trolley (or cable guide), the cable shall be prevented from being worn and excessively bent during the movement. For the cable whose outer diameter is not more than 8mm, the curvature diameter of the cable suspension bent plate shall be at least 6.3 times the outer diameter of the cable; for the cable with outer diameter greater than 8mm, it should be at least 8 times of the outer diameter; for the cable with the outer diameter greater than 12.5mm, it should be at least 10 times of the outer diameter; for the flat cable, the thickness of the cable is equivalent The diameter of the round cable.

When gantry crane cables are arranged, ensure that the lengths of the cables are the same and the pressure plates are securely crimped. The outside diameter of the cables in the same layer should be as close as possible. To avoid excessive stress on one or a few cables. Suspended cable trolleys shall be equipped with traction steel ropes. When the bridge crane is in operation, when the distance between adjacent two suspension cables is such that the angle between the hanging cables is close to 120°, the traction rope should be completely straightened.

 

2. When the cable reel is used for power supply, the cable should be prevented from being worn during the movement. For the cable with the outer diameter no more than 21.5mm, the bottom diameter of the cable reel should be at least 10 times of the outer diameter of the cable; for the cable with the outer diameter greater than 21.5mm The bottom diameter of the cable drum should be at least 12.5 times the cable diameter.

Bridge crane cable reel should be capable of automatically winding the cable. The driving torque of the cable reel should not be less than the maximum winding torque required when winding the cable. In the process of cable feeding, the traction force acting on the cable conductor should be as small as possible. For the cable without the reinforcement core, the maximum allowable tensile force acting on the cross section of the copper conductor is 20N/mm2, which requires high cable winding speed or cable weight. When heavier, additional steel wire ropes that can withstand the required traction should be added as cores.
